Minutes of LMBC AGM - 13th July 2011
For all those unable to make it to the AGM, here are the minutes for your viewing pleasure
“Save the Devil” charity Relay
Wet and muddy conditions didn’t deter the 74 riders who turned out at Trevallyn and braved the elements to raise money for the Save the Devil Appeal.
King and Queen of the Mountain
Ben Lomond is an imposing climb but I’m happy to report that the mountain was beaten today by a hardcore bunch of riders. When asked if they were looking forward to this race most replied “yes and no”. All knew it was going to be bloody tough, climbing 1250m in altitude over 23km’s to the second highest peak in Tasmania, but the personal satisfaction of reaching the summit would made it worthwhile.
12 Hour Enduro
Riding with your mates on a brand new purpose built XC track with kilometres of single track. Catching up with crew from across the state…
State MTB titles at Ravenswood hosted by Launceston Mountain Bike Club
Whilst their competitors struggled with the pace and suffered multiple punctures Ben Mather and Rowena Fry rode their way to state open XC titles today on the unforgiving Ravenswood circuit. Mather has had a weekend to remember after finishing second in the Otway Odyssey in Victoria only 24 hours prior. The Otway Odyssey is regarded as one of Australia’s premier 100km MTB events attracting the best riders in the nation. Mather held on for second place, behind Olympian Chris Jongeward and taking the scalp of current world 24hr champion Jason English.
