Social Ride #3 Hollybank Forest
Monday 11th March 6pm
Finish this long weekend with our LMBC social ride at Hollybank, which looks to be a ripper. This ride is NOT suited for beginners as we will be riding on disused forestry trials, full of rock gardens, a, b and c lines and a few climbs (or is that walks?). Distance between 18 - 26 km, depending on your keenness for ‘flow’. Starts at 6 pm and meeting at the carpark at the Hollybank reserve gates. Please note - You’ll need two drink bottles and a snack for this ride.
What you need;
• A bike that is in good mechanical order, with working brakes and gear shifters – it won’t be all downhill! If you are unsure, we can help you out and refer you to a number of great Launceston bike shops.
• Correctly fitting helmet, enclosed shoe and comfortable clothing.
• A drink bottle or three and perhaps a few snacks. There is also nothing better than a cold drink and snack waiting for you in the car!
• You may also want to have a spare tube, pump and tyre levels, just in case. If you are not sure how to change a tub, no worries. We can walk you through it!
