Social Ride #2 Kate Reed NRA

Social Ride #2 is at Kate Reed NRA meeting at the boom gate on Oakden Rd at 6pm.  The LMBC social rides are aimed at all level of fitness and ability, where the slowest rider is the fastest! This ride will be held at Kate Reed NRA on Monday February 25th.
Rides will be around Launceston and within 20 minutes drive of the CBD. Families are encouraged to attend. Teenagers aged 12 and up are also welcome, but parents must transport and participate in the social ride as well! Rides will focus on fun; riding trails not goat tracks or mountains…..
Rides will take place every 2 & 4 Monday of the month over the warmer months. Ride venues will be placed on this page and on the LMBC facebook page.
There is will be cost of $5 per rider for non-LMBC or BA affiliated club members. This is for club public liability purposes, although the LMBC will pay for your first 2 social rides (only). Alternatively, you could join the MTBA as a social member for $45 or join the LMBC for $110. This will provide you insurance for Public Liability b) Professional Indemnity c) Personal Accident.

What you need;

• A bike that is in good mechanical order, with working brakes and gear shifters – it won’t be all downhill! If you are unsure, we can help you out and refer you to a number of great Launceston bike shops.
• Correctly fitting helmet, enclosed shoe and comfortable clothing.
• A drink bottle or three and perhaps a few snacks. There is also nothing better than a cold drink and snack waiting for you in the car!
• You may also want to have a spare tube, pump and tyre levels, just in case. If you are not sure how to change a tub, no worries. We can walk you through it!
